Sixth Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball
Oklahoma City cowboys, cowgirls and city slickers are encouraged to saddle up and attend the sixth Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball, “Hope on the Range,” on Aug. 23 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. This Western-themed gala will benefit the American Cancer Society. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the event includes dinner, drinks, live entertainment by John Evans Band, live and silent auctions, raffles, dance lessons, stick-horse racing, a Cowboy Casino and more. Tickets are $125 per person and must be purchased in advance. Call 405-841-5818 or go to www.cattlebaronsballokc.org for tickets and event information. The Cattle Baron’s Ball live auction will feature a unique opportunity for patrons to bid on "Face of Hope" hand-painted plates with images of self portraits by campers at the American Cancer Society Camp Live-A-Dream. These campers-turned-artists are young cancer survivors, children who have been diagnosed with cancer at some time during their youth.
